Equipping Youth for a Stronger, Sustainable Chitral
The USIP-funded Youth Empowerment Project — Empowering Resilient and Combating Extremism for Sustainable Development of Chitral — delivered 10 digital skill training cohorts (300 beneficiaries), 50 soft skills sessions (800+ participants), and 4 community-building activities reaching over 1,000 beneficiaries.

Visit of the Foreign Delegates
AKWS hosted esteemed foreign delegates, including representatives of the Canadian High Commission, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the German Ambassador, and the UN Golf Team, showcasing its impactful initiatives and discussing potential collaborations for sustainable community development.

Inauguration of the Solarization Project
The solarization project was completed through a co-finance model — 30% AKWS and 70% AKRSP — to ensure uninterrupted, sustainable power for the co-working and Resource Centre space, and was inaugurated by the Assistant Commissioner, Upper Chitral.

Inauguration of the Digital Library
The Digital and Conventional Library was formally opened in a ceremony attended by Roziman Shah, a renowned Chitrali-American businessman, and many community members — a key educational resource promoting learning, digital literacy, and knowledge-sharing for the youth of Chitral.

Distribution of Wheelchairs to Differently Abled Persons
With the support of Niaz Support, AKWS carried out a large-scale distribution of customised wheelchairs across Upper & Lower Chitral, from Asherait to Yarkhoon Lasht, covering almost every valley except Laspur in Upper Chitral — ensuring dignified mobility for 530 persons with disabilities in this reporting period alone.

Scholarship Program for Children of Differently Abled Persons
A continuing scholarship and health support program for children of parents with disabilities across Upper and Lower Chitral. 22 students are currently enrolled, representing institutions including AKES, FCPS, Alkhidmat, and Oxford Public School and College.

Community Awareness Dramas & Theatre Engagement
AKWS produced and facilitated a series of community awareness dramas with theatre groups from Upper Chitral, addressing social, financial, digital, and economic challenges — using theatre as a culturally rooted medium for public awareness, dialogue, and behavioral change.
